Cheap Eats? You can probably find them near a university in most cities, and Naples is no exception to the rule.
If you pass by 120 Grammi between midday and 3pm you're going to be stuck in an impossibly long line. Fear not, the kitchen whips up boxes of delicious spaghetti in minutes and your number will be called before the fainting spells kick in.
At an average of 5 Eur a piece, you're going to be hard pressed to find better value for money in downtown Naples. The food is cooked to order, bursting with flavours and bang on authentic. I opted for the Amatriciana and it was tangy, rich and chock full of guanciale.
120 Grams is also the portion size (in case you were wondering) and I found it more than I could handle for a lunch on the go, so there's your late night snack as a bonus. Nobody ever hated on a portion of cold spaghetti out the fridge? Did they?
These recommendations are just personal opinions based on my palate, things change, chefs get fired or replaced, places open-close, relocate, so take it all with a pinch of MSG and discover your own gems too. But please do try a few of these, they have been researched exhaustively.
