Rating: 7 / 10 Even in the land of smiles and scorching tongues the need for a good burger awakens. Overfed on bowls of rice, strangled by noodles, coughing up chunks of lemongrass, infected with deep shrimp paste achings, the time for a patty in two bun halves has come. Having said that, finding a good burger in Chiang Mai can be problematic. Sure, there are Mc D, BK and other chains on every corner, but unless you're four buckets of sangsom and redbull in, you better skip them. BB Burger near Thapae does a better option than your regular fast food outlets, but still it's not really an enjoyable meal, more a "coat the stomach before punishment" type deal. Beast Burger delivers at least some semblence of eating a decent burger and fries. If it's stonkingly hot, sit inside with the AC soothe, if it's evening and not too humid they have a nice rooftop area round back. Burger wise, the patty is well seasoned and juicy. The meat tastes like it's a blend of premium cuts. The fries are definitely not winning awards but compliment the messy burger. If you're one of those knife&fork burger people then this isn't for you. Plain and simple. If you're more of a sloppy burger worshipper, then this should be right up your alley. NFA DYOR These recommendations are just personal opinions based on my palate, things change, chefs get fired or replaced, places open-close, relocate, so take it all with a pinch of MSG and discover your own gems too. But please do try a few of these, they have been researched exhaustively.
