Rating: 7 / 10 After spending almost 45 minutes in my Grab Taxi getting here, despite it being a short drive, the traffic finally let up and movement was achieved. Eating ramen in this heat is irresponsible, but I calculated in at least 10 minutes of wait time between being seated and eating, which was enough for the AC to cool you down a touch. I'm clutching at straws here, I know, but I need my ramen ok. With global brands you kinda know what you're getting. The risk is that there is a better local spot nearby that you missed out on, but the benefit is you know it will be better than that awful local place you tried on a whim, yesterday.... (RIP Ramen-Tei) There isn't much to report back here, you know the drill. Mass produced tonkotsu broth, tasty and tender pork, run-of-the-mill noodles, woodear mushrooms, beansprouts kissed with hot water, well temperatured egg and friendly service. All in all this is a solid bowl of Tonkotsu Ramen to quell the intense cravings before you next are in Fukuoka. It's not going to set your world on fire, but it's slurpily enjoyable to fend off the nasi goreng and mee goreng binges. These recommendations are just personal opinions based on my palate, things change, chefs get fired or replaced, places open-close, relocate, so take it all with a pinch of MSG and discover your own gems too. But please do try a few of these, they have been researched exhaustively.
