The holy trinity of healing powers are, of course: Pho, Ramen and Laksa. Todays cravings were of a Vietnamese kind, and I beseeched google and various blogs to find a suitable temple in which to offer my stomach.

You know the rest: Grab taxi -> Pho Vietz

This isn't Pho Phu Vuong or Quynh. It wouldn't even nestle in the top 50 in Ho Chi Minh, but all things considering it tempered the cravings and soothed my soul for a few precious moments.

Whilst the coffee was dripping at an ml per minute, I spooned the average broth, fine noodles and slightly chewy meatballs into my willing mouth. The hints of sweetness broke through, something I tend to avoid in Vietnam, but beggars can't be choosers.

This isn't a miraculous bowl of Pho, but it was good enough to lead me to believe an epic bowl is laying in wait for me to discover in KL.
These recommendations are just personal opinions based on my palate, things change, chefs get fired or replaced, places open-close, relocate, so take it all with a pinch of MSG  and discover your own gems too. But please do try a few of these, they have been researched exhaustively.
